Adelaide is Australia's 4th largest city with a population of nearly a million people. Adelaide is also the capital of South Australia. Adelaide was originally prosperous wheat growing area that later expanded to include wool, fruit and wines. Today, many of Australia's most famous wines come from the regions surrounding Adelaide. Unlike many cities, Adelaide is one of Australia's few planned cities with broad streets and a sense of openness and cleanliness. Adelaide enjoys a Mediterranean style with warm summers and moderate winters.
Adelaide Beaches Holiday Villas are located at Adelaide's West Beach, which is adjacent to Henley Beach and Glenelg where the waters of Gulf St Vincent wash onto a wide band of fine white sand stretching virtually unbroken for more than 30 kilometres. West Beach is just 15 minutes from Adelaide's City Centre and a short trip to Adelaide's International Airport.
Being close to everything makes it possible to relax in a beach front setting and still venture into town for the many events:
- Art and Music Festivals - Adelaide's WOMAD World Music Festival, OzAsia Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival,
- Sporting Events - Clipsal 500 Motor Car Races, The Australasian Masters Games,
- Wine and Food Festivals
There is always something interesting happening in Adelaide!
